God has not forgotten you

神未曾忘記過你  In the midst of hardship, it's so easy to be caught up in our circumstances. We may often wonder where God is and why doesn't He take away our pain? Genesis 39:2-3 2  The  Lord  was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.   3  When his master saw that the  Lord  was with him and that the  Lord  gave him success in everything he did. Though Joseph was wronged, faced unjust imprisonment, the Lord was always with Him. God's favour was on him even in the darkest times.  God was with Joseph all along, God will also be with you through the ups and downs of life. Do not be afraid, do not be dismayed, He will deliver you when the timing is right. Hang in there, pray always, submit your requests to Him and He will definitely come to your rescue. Will you choose to trust?

God is good, very very good!

This time I have again experienced God's love and promises for me. It has shown me clearly that God is faithful and He does things in His own timing. And Judy, TRUST that I AM~ Last week had been a hectic week as many unexpected events happened. As people know, I am planning to go to Japan, and have been renting a house. Hence, before going, I need to sell all the furniture I own and clear the house by 5 th August. A month ago, I started plannig and had organised a storage place to put away everything and was pleased. Unexpectantly, a week ago, I was notified that I was not able to put away any of the furniture in the planned storage place. With no other choice, I quickily tried to find someone to sell to, a person expressed great interest and promised to buy everything from me, however, at the end the person did not end up buying anything. As a result, all these series of events happened had given me incredible stress and burden. In fact, I became extremely worried as having to se...

Nothing is reliable except God

A lot of things happened in my life recently have made me realised truly how unreliable everything can be on earth . People whom you have trusted turned their backs from you, disappointed you, betrayed you, and have abused your kindness. You wholeheartedly believe that people will keep their promises like you do, however, a lot of times it turns out not so. People are sinners and are of the world, they don't do God's way, instead, they follow the world. They disappoint! They break the promises they made! At the end, they even leave the consequences to you and pretend they have done nothing wrong. My conclusion is: Nothing is reliable!!!! Everything on earth can makeyou feel frustrated!!! The good thing is that OUR GOD is reliable, the only person we can trust and rely on. When people turn their backs from you, God doesn't. God loves us and never disappoints us, His faithful love endures forever. His promises lasts forever and He loves us so much that He longs to give us His...

What a relief!!

As you read previous entries, you may have realised that I had been stressed. That is because two days ago, I found out that I received a FAIL for one of the subjects last semester. In disbelief, I emailed the subject coordinator, but he didn't reply immediately. I was left really stressed and worried as I am about to go to Japan for exchange and ready to finish my last semester there. Who knows why things don't go the way we planned. I thought a lot, I was agitating over the fact that I will have to rush back to Melbourne for this subject and spend another $2000+ for it. I even blamed myself for not doing the assessment well enough to allow this to happen. I was also afraid to tell this BAD news to my parents and knew if I told them, they would be quite angry and disappointed. The stress accumulated so much that I could hardly breathe and felt quite sick. I couldn't even concentrate on doing anything. I continued to watch Korean and Japanese dramas, but they all didn't...

So stressed that I can hardly breathe

Lord, help me from my stress, and deliver me from my trouble. I am so stressed, so please comfort me with your love. Please allow me to trust you more during this time, strengthen my faith through this. My life is yours and do whatever you wish. Praise you still for who you are and for hearing my prayers.

Have you ever been in love?

I was very touched by this when I found it in one of my files! I thank God that He is true love and I can experience it so truly. So that I don't need to go anywhere else to find false love. When I see the rainbow in the sky, I see God's sign of love, so beautiful and peaceful. I am reminded of His great promises, too. Gen 9:13 I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. Ezekiel 1:28 As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking. Enjoy and hope you can be touched too.

A desire to be loved by God

Have you ever wondered what true love is? Do you have a desire to be truly loved? 你是否曾經想知道什麼是真愛? 你是否渴望真正的被愛呢? I have just recently started posting more entries on this blog in preparation for my exciting Japan exchange trip. However, I found it hard to decide on the content of this blog. I have asked myself if I should post anything about my faith that may seem dull to many of my friends or should I just post fun things to make it more desirable for my readers? At the end, I still cannot settle with the fact that many people in this world are still lost and are living in darkness. I figured I should still share the love of God through this blog, though it may be undesirable, the love of God needs to be spread. Deep down in the innermost heart of every human being, we desire to be loved by ...

Was I right or wrong?

Yesterday I had very special encounter. It turned out to be a breathtaking one at the end and in fact I could be in danger, but I think I don't regret doing it. Around 12pm, I was walking towards the train station from home to go to the city. Along the way, I passed a lady who stood in the middle of the footpath looking dizzy, her head was down and wasn't standing properly. Though it was just a glance, I continued to walk for 5 metres, the image of the lady still remained in my head, in just a few seconds, a lot of coversations went on in my head. "Stop? No stop? You are going to be late for train. Go back to check up the lady." At the end I stopped, turned around and walked back towards the lady knowing I would be late for the train I was catching. I approached her and asked "Are you ok? Do you need a hand?" Nodded and shook her head. While talking to her, I saw two fresh wounds on her face, one on the corner of her right eyebrow and one on the edge of her ...

Oh, how much the Word comforts the soul

Tonight I read short passage on a devotional journal and was greatly comforted by the love of God. C. H. Spurgeon wrote, "Then go, plunge yourself in the Godhead's deepest sea. Be lost in his immensity; and you shall come forth as from a couch of rest, refreshed and invigorated". How beautiful is that, I like it especially when he said "be lost in his immensity". God is indeed immense, but we often limit Him with our limited minds and sights and forget that He is actually IMMENSE. How wonderful will it be to be lost in God's immensity and be comforted by His immense love and tenderness. In Matthew 11:29 Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls". Our hearts at times are restless with the things happen in our lives and sometimes we do lose our hearts and do not live in peace. Peace to many people may be an impossible thing to experience because of the situations t...

The Lord says be content!

I think I am not a very good example of living a content life, but thank God that He reminds me. Although I am one of the luckiest person, a lot of times I still am not content with what I have. I always desire for more or wished something was better. If things did not go as well as I hoped, I grumbled and complained and was constantly drown in the pool of negative emotions and self-condemnation. Be content, my dear. It's only money. Be content, it's only a room. Be content, it's only a florenscent light. Yes, florenscent light. Why am I mentioning this? The florescent light in my kitchen since long ago needed to be changed, however I had either been busy or didn't have the will to get out of the house to get one. Today, I finally got the motivation to go out as it really has become an annoyance not to have light at nights. I am not sure why, but I went around 7 shops and supermarkets, there was not a single shop that sold the florescent light I wanted. Frustrated and a...

I have seen God's plan for me, so why worry?

I am thankful to God that I have been accepted to go on exchange in Japan starting from September 2010. Although all the rest of the people who applied to Waseda were accepted, I still feel a sense that it was God's grace to me to put me in one of them. I cannot imagine that I deserve this honour to go to Waseda University for exchange and given the opportunity to pursue the long awaiting dream. And now IT HAS COME TRUE!!!!!!!! The application process for this exchange was not easy. Firstly, before we actually applied, we had to have our academic scores averaging higher than 70 and 75 for the language subjects that the the country you intend to go speaks. Maintaining high marks at university is not considered an easy thing, and I believe it was more so for me. Secondly, to apply, there were many forms to fill in and documents to prepare, for example, academic references from the professors who have taught you , a complete study plan, two exchange essays(one for the home univeristy ...

Truth

Sometimes truth is difficult for us to comprehend, but we are to understand it but not simplify it! I find this statement an important claim when understanding what truth is. If truth is hard to grasp, we need to wait patiently and study constantly in order to understand instead of changing and twisting it. This is a good reminder and good encouragement for me

What is the time? it's time for Jesus

To be honest, I always struggle to keep up to my personal quiet time with God and I guess the reason might have been that I have not realised how important God is in my life. I have not understood the importance of spending time with Him and have not truly put God's words in my heart. God is always willing to spend time with me, but I am always reluctant to give my time to Him. A lot of times, I would rather spend time on facebook, browsing through random things and waste time doing nothing than talking to the God that loves me the most. How selfish is that? Now that I have realised leaving God is the most silly and dangerous thing to do and the consequence can be serious. God loves me so much that He died for me, suffered for me but why can't I love Him with my whole heart? I can't just go to Him when I need help, but I need to give every moment of my life to Him and include Him in everything I do. So next time if you ask me what time it is, I would know that it is the tim...

My emotions are affected by circumstances

Be still and know that I am GOD! In the trivial of life, do I have peace? Do I cry out to God or do I worry? What I cannot do well, do I self condemn or do I cry out to our Father in heaven for help? In Christ, there is no condemnation, so I shall not condemn myself and lower my self esteem. It is by grace I live, it is by God's love I live, and it is by the glory of God I am worthy of everything I do.

Lord my eyes are blind

My eyes are blind that I cannot see you My ears are deaf that I cannot hear you My voice is mute that I cannot sing praise to you What a sinner I am! Have mercy, oh Lord! So I may see, hear and speak to you

Wisdom

I often think I am not smart enough and am often frustrated when I don't acheive as well as I expected. Last week we learned about wisdom in our bible study group, and the Word of God enlightened me. I shall never be ashamed of who I am and what I have not acheived. Rather, I need to acknowledge that wisdom comes from God, and I need to learn that if I didn't perform well, that may mean I have not asked God for enough, I have not drawn closer enough to God and surrender my work to Him. I always need to ask myself: Have I asked God for concentration? Have I asked God for time management? Have I asked God for planning? Have I asked God for direction? Have I asked God for wisdom? It is not about how good I am but it is about how good I am to rely on God!!
