Wisdom

I often think I am not smart enough and am often frustrated when I don't acheive as well as I expected.

Last week we learned about wisdom in our bible study group, and the Word of God enlightened me. I shall never be ashamed of who I am and what I have not acheived. Rather, I need to acknowledge that wisdom comes from God, and I need to learn that if I didn't perform well, that may mean I have not asked God for enough, I have not drawn closer enough to God and surrender my work to Him.

I always need to ask myself:
Have I asked God for concentration?
Have I asked God for time management?
Have I asked God for planning?
Have I asked God for direction?
Have I asked God for wisdom?

It is not about how good I am but it is about how good I am to rely on God!!

Street outreach band

This Monday, our small group leader invited us to an outreach event organised by church. It's a street outreach band, playing and singing Christian music in the street of Shibuya, known as one of the busiest areas in Tokyo. Apparently they go there every Monday and Thursday nights to sing and reach out to people who may be interested. Getting ready to sing Her voice is really beautiful It's such a great thing for them to do. However, it was the first time for me to do something like this, and I don't think I did a good job. All I did that night was standing at one spot stiffly and clapping none stop, because I wasn't brave enough to go around to approach people. Having said that, I am glad I participated in the event. It was a good way for me to build up my confidence and finding my own way to tell the gospel to the people in the streets, although I totally failed at the first trial. Be strong and courageous

Joshua 1:7-9 NIV "Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord  your God will be with you wherever you go." It is sad to see that people don't understand or believe that- Success in God is the greatest success we can have in life.
