I am so blessed

I am so thankful for what God has given me in Japan.

I am thankful for the amazing Bible Study Fellowship here in Japan. Not only do we have a godly lady as our teaching leader, that speaks with great enthusiam, wisdom and clarity; but also have wonderful Japanese Christian ladies coming to seek the word of God with great desire and expectation EVERY WEEK. What wonderful works God has been doing here. I am super excited for God's cultivation in Japan, it's amazing!!

I am thankful for the church I belong to. I am thankful for my bible study leader and lovely group members who greet me with love and care. The first time I went to the church, I was warmly welcomed by the people and never felt left out even for a minute!

I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to share my faith with some people I have met. Please pray for my friend, who told me today that she would also like to come to church with me this Sunday. She is a girl in my dorm, from Cambodia and her name is.........sorry I am not sure, but I surely knows her face and her smile! And also for a Taiwanese lady from our dorm, too, not sure about her name either, but she is also interested in going. Come on, this is absolutely exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thankful for the Japanese lady I met last Sunday at church. She is not a Christian, but she is so caring and lovely that she accompanied me to the station I wanted to go all the way from church (30mins). Tonight I was very privileged to be able to have dinner together with the lady and her beautiful daughter, Miyako. I was very very touched by the way they treated me, although my Japanese is poor, they never laughed at me and kindly explained anything I didn't understand. They even told me to see them as my mum and sister in Japan! How wonderful is that~It's incredible and utterly indescribable.

These people are just so wonderful they cannot miss out knowing the best person in the universe-our King Jesus. My heart aches for Miyako when I think of her, although she didn't show any sign of unhappiness, but I just feel in the spirit that she needs God greatly. Oh, our merciful One, may your spirit rain down on Japan, we need you here. Please heal the broken-hearted and shine your light in the darkness of the world. Shout to the Lord all the earth and let us sing praise to the King, for only He truly heals and saves.

Street outreach band

This Monday, our small group leader invited us to an outreach event organised by church. It's a street outreach band, playing and singing Christian music in the street of Shibuya, known as one of the busiest areas in Tokyo. Apparently they go there every Monday and Thursday nights to sing and reach out to people who may be interested. Getting ready to sing Her voice is really beautiful It's such a great thing for them to do. However, it was the first time for me to do something like this, and I don't think I did a good job. All I did that night was standing at one spot stiffly and clapping none stop, because I wasn't brave enough to go around to approach people. Having said that, I am glad I participated in the event. It was a good way for me to build up my confidence and finding my own way to tell the gospel to the people in the streets, although I totally failed at the first trial. I think it is great to be able to do it with other young people who are also passiona...

Be strong and courageous

Joshua 1:7-9 NIV "Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord  your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua was chosen by God and was given instructions to be successul in what God chose Him to do. It is sad to see that people don't understand or believe that- Success in God is the greatest success we can have in life. We seek success in life, even pray for success but often fail to follow the seemingly easy instructions from God. When we do not succeed in things, we blame God. God told us through Joshua, there are 2 ways to be successful 1) ...
