I am so blessed

I am so thankful for what God has given me in Japan.

I am thankful for the amazing Bible Study Fellowship here in Japan. Not only do we have a godly lady as our teaching leader, that speaks with great enthusiam, wisdom and clarity; but also have wonderful Japanese Christian ladies coming to seek the word of God with great desire and expectation EVERY WEEK. What wonderful works God has been doing here. I am super excited for God's cultivation in Japan, it's amazing!!

I am thankful for the church I belong to. I am thankful for my bible study leader and lovely group members who greet me with love and care. The first time I went to the church, I was warmly welcomed by the people and never felt left out even for a minute!

I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to share my faith with some people I have met. Please pray for my friend, who told me today that she would also like to come to church with me this Sunday. She is a girl in my dorm, from Cambodia and her name is.........sorry I am not sure, but I surely knows her face and her smile! And also for a Taiwanese lady from our dorm, too, not sure about her name either, but she is also interested in going. Come on, this is absolutely exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am thankful for the Japanese lady I met last Sunday at church. She is not a Christian, but she is so caring and lovely that she accompanied me to the station I wanted to go all the way from church (30mins). Tonight I was very privileged to be able to have dinner together with the lady and her beautiful daughter, Miyako. I was very very touched by the way they treated me, although my Japanese is poor, they never laughed at me and kindly explained anything I didn't understand. They even told me to see them as my mum and sister in Japan! How wonderful is that~It's incredible and utterly indescribable.

These people are just so wonderful they cannot miss out knowing the best person in the universe-our King Jesus. My heart aches for Miyako when I think of her, although she didn't show any sign of unhappiness, but I just feel in the spirit that she needs God greatly. Oh, our merciful One, may your spirit rain down on Japan, we need you here. Please heal the broken-hearted and shine your light in the darkness of the world. Shout to the Lord all the earth and let us sing praise to the King, for only He truly heals and saves.

Life in TW

Wow, I can't believe that it's been 12 days since I have been back. I thank God that this is one of the best holidays I have ever had for a long time. Perhaps because it's a time of transformation and a time to look forward to something new. But, one thing I also have to acknowledge and be thankful for is my church in Taiwan. Thank God that mum and aunt are heavily involved in church activities so I am able to participate in various events and programs without having to go over the process of fear to making new friends or getting used to the environment again. Looking back these 12 days, I can't believe how many activities I have already done and am so grateful to be able to make so many friends in such a short time. Last week I went river tracing with a group of people from church. This is only a photo from the internet. I posted this to show you what river tracing is like. It's self explanatory from the photo above. What you do is climbing against the water to rea...

What a relief!!

As you read previous entries, you may have realised that I had been stressed. That is because two days ago, I found out that I received a FAIL for one of the subjects last semester. In disbelief, I emailed the subject coordinator, but he didn't reply immediately. I was left really stressed and worried as I am about to go to Japan for exchange and ready to finish my last semester there. Who knows why things don't go the way we planned. I thought a lot, I was agitating over the fact that I will have to rush back to Melbourne for this subject and spend another $2000+ for it. I even blamed myself for not doing the assessment well enough to allow this to happen. I was also afraid to tell this BAD news to my parents and knew if I told them, they would be quite angry and disappointed. The stress accumulated so much that I could hardly breathe and felt quite sick. I couldn't even concentrate on doing anything. I continued to watch Korean and Japanese dramas, but they all didn't...

Be strong and courageous

Joshua 1:7-9 NIV "Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord  your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua was chosen by God and was given instructions to be successul in what God chose Him to do. It is sad to see that people don't understand or believe that- Success in God is the greatest success we can have in life. We seek success in life, even pray for success but often fail to follow the seemingly easy instructions from God. When we do not succeed in things, we blame God. God told us through Joshua, there are 2 ways to be successful 1) ...
